Builders Quoting Software, Built for Australian Construction

Generic quoting tools weren't designed for builders. They don't understand line items broken into materials and labour. They don't handle progress payments. They don't know what a variation is. We build quoting software that does — designed around the way Australian builders, contractors and renovators actually work. Our flagship app, Leado, is live on the App Store (au.leado.app) — proof we ship real production software for Australian trades, not slide decks. For your build, we deliver itemised line-item quotes covering materials, labour, hours and GST; branded PDFs with your logo, colours and terms; customer e-sign acceptance; and one-tap conversion of accepted quotes into invoices structured around deposit, progress and final payments.

What we build

Our Builders Quoting Software Capabilities

Built around the real construction workflow — site measure, scoping, materials, labour, variations, progress claims and final invoicing.

Detailed Line-Item Quotes

Quotes broken down the way builders actually quote — materials by item with supplier pricing, labour by trade and hours, allowances and provisional sums, and GST handled correctly across the lot. Each line is editable, copyable and re-orderable. Save common scopes as templates so the next bathroom reno quotes itself in five minutes instead of an hour.

Benefits: Accurate quotes, faster turnaround, fewer errors.

Branded PDFs

Every quote and invoice goes out as a polished, branded PDF — your logo, your colours, your terms and conditions baked in. Customers see a professional document that reflects the standard of your work, not a generic SaaS template with someone else's logo at the top. PDFs include all line-item detail, attachments, photos and a one-tap accept link.

Benefits: Professional first impression, higher win rates, brand consistency.

Progress Payments

Construction doesn't bill in one hit. We build proper progress claim handling — deposit on signing, milestone payments at fixed stages (slab down, frame up, lock-up, fix, completion), and final after defects. Each milestone fires its own invoice automatically when you mark the stage complete. Customers see what's been paid, what's owed and what's coming.

Benefits: Better cashflow, structured billing, fewer disputes.

On-Site Quoting

Walk a job with the customer, measure up on your phone, and have a fully detailed quote in their hands before you leave the driveway. Customer signs and accepts on your screen, and a branded PDF emails to both parties instantly. No more 'I'll send it through next week' — no more lost jobs to the builder who quoted faster.

Benefits: Win more jobs, quote on-the-spot, never lose a lead to delay.

Why NetGate

Why Choose NetGate for Builders Quoting Software?

Construction software needs to be built by people who understand construction — not generic SaaS engineers who've never been on a site.

Built for Australian Construction

GST handled correctly across materials and labour. State-by-state licensing detail captured on every quote. AS/NZS standards referenced where relevant. Supplier integrations with the merchants Australian builders actually use. We build for the Australian market — not a US-first SaaS retrofitted for our compliance rules.

Real Construction Workflow

Site measure → scope → quote → variation → invoice → progress claim → final → defects. We model the way builders actually work, not the way SaaS platforms wish they worked. Variations are first-class — added mid-job, signed off by the customer, billed against the next progress claim. Nothing falls through the cracks.

Direct Sydney-Based Team

When a feature needs changing — and on construction software, it always does — you ring the team that wrote the code. No tickets routed to offshore call centres, no waiting weeks for a response. Sydney-based developers, Sydney-based designers, Sydney-based support. Australia-wide delivery to builders from Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and the regions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between builders quoting software and generic quoting tools?
Generic quoting tools assume a single line — service, price, GST, done. Construction doesn't work that way. Builders quoting software handles separated materials and labour, hours by trade, supplier pricing that updates, allowances and provisional sums, GST applied correctly across the breakdown, variations added mid-job, and progress claims billed against milestones. Generic tools can be bent to fit, but you'll be fighting them every quote. Custom software speaks construction natively. Have a chat with us if you want the difference walked through.
Can the software handle progress claims and variations?
Yes — both are first-class features. Progress claims are structured around the milestones you set: deposit, slab, frame, lock-up, fix, completion, defects. Each fires its own invoice automatically when the stage is marked complete. Variations get added to the live job, signed off by the customer in-app, and roll into the next progress claim — fully documented, with an audit trail. No more arguments at handover about what was agreed. The customer signed for it, and the trail is in the app.
Will it integrate with my supplier ordering?
Yes — supplier integrations are one of the more valuable features we build. We've connected builders quoting apps to Bunnings Trade, Reece, Tradelink and other Australian merchants, so material pricing in your quotes pulls live from your supplier account. When pricing changes, your quote templates update automatically. We can also push approved orders straight from the quote to the supplier. See our API integration page for the technical side.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes. Construction software is never finished — iOS and Android update twice a year, your trade evolves, and you'll think of features once you've used the app for six months. We offer ongoing support and maintenance contracts that cover OS updates, bug fixes, security patches and a monthly allowance for new features and tweaks. Sydney-based team, direct contact, no offshore tickets. We stay with you for the life of the app, not just to launch.
How do I migrate existing quotes from Excel or spreadsheets?
Migration is part of the build. Most builders we work with come from a mix of Excel, Word templates and email. We import historical quotes and customer records into the app at launch, so you start with your existing pipeline already loaded — you don't lose your customer history. Spreadsheet templates get converted into quote templates inside the app, so the next quote drafts itself from the same starting point you've been using for years. Migration typically takes 1-2 weeks and runs in parallel with the build.

We're the Brain. Your Business Runs Itself.

NetGate is a Sydney-based business automation agency. We don't sell off-the-shelf software — we design, build and operate custom systems that quietly handle the work behind your business. Voice receptionists that take calls 24/7, AI chat that qualifies leads on your website, quote-and-invoice apps that close deals on the spot, photo workflows that publish themselves to your gallery. We've built our own iOS SaaS — Leado, our quoting and invoicing app for tradies, live on the App Store — and we operate similar systems for Sydney service businesses today. The difference: clients don't wonder what tools we use. They just see fewer phone calls, faster quotes, and customers booking themselves. End-to-end automation, designed and run by one Sydney team.

Business Process Automation, Tailored to Your Business

Business process automation (BPA) is the practice of replacing repetitive manual work with software that runs in the background — quoting, invoicing, lead routing, customer follow-ups, reporting. Done well, it removes the admin tax that quietly eats hours out of every working day. Done badly, it's a tangle of half-connected tools that nobody trusts. NetGate takes the second option off the table. Our approach is simple: audit your workflow, design the automation around how you actually work, build it in-house, operate it for you, and improve it as your business grows. We've automated quote-to-payment for tradies (Leado, our iOS app live on the App Store), 24/7 call handling for service businesses across Sydney, and AI-driven photo curation for content-heavy sites. Same Sydney team, end-to-end.
